Former Bills QB Nathan Peterman continues to draw interest

Nathan Peterman, a former fifth-round pick of the Buffalo Bills at the 2017 NFL Draft was released by the team on Nov. 12.

The interception-prone QB is still currently a free agent, but there’s a chance once again that a team could scoop him up. According to multiple reports on Tuesday, Peterman has multiple team workouts lined up with teams this week.

NFL Insider for Sirius-XM radio Adam Caplan reported that Peterman has worked out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as of Tuesday.

The Bucs aren’t the only ones interested in his services, though. Per Ryan Talbot from NYUP.com, the Oakland Raiders are also working out the second-year QB on Wednesday.

Per the NYUP.com report, Raiders head coach Jon Gruden has a high level of interest in Peterman. That checks out. Prior the 2017 draft, Gruden was still an analyst on ESPN. His trademark segment leading up to the NFL Draft for several years was Gruden’s QB Camp.

Gruden never had a bad thing to say about a player during these segments, however, he put plenty of praise on Peterman coming out of college, calling him the most NFL ready QB at the 2017 draft.

“Most importantly, he will be able to get in a huddle from day one and look at 10 grown men and tell them where to go and what to do and handle a versatile snap count,” Gruden said on the segment.

Previous reports indicated that the Lions and Broncos also worked out Peterman.
