Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard had a strong performance against the New York Giants in Week 11, but it stopped abruptly with a nasty ankle injury at the end of an impressive catch-and-run.
Bucs coach Dirk Koetter says the team got some good news on the injury Monday, but that his star pass-catcher is seeking a second opinion (via Pewter Report):
A first-round pick in 2017, Howard has already topped his rookie-year numbers in receptions and receiving yards, and is just one touchdown away from tying that mark, as well. His rare blend of size and athleticism continues to frustrate opposing defenses, and he’ll be sorely missed if he’s out of the lineup for any stretch of time.
