The Tampa Bay Buccaneers avoided a major injury scare to one of their top draft picks, but it looks like they’ll be without another one for the foreseeable future.
Running back Ronald Jones II is expected to miss time with a hamstring injury, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:
A second-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Jones struggled mightily in the preseason, and was inactive for the first three games of the regular season. He’s seen limited work over the last few weeks, finally scoring his first career touchdown in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.
With Jones out, look for veteran Jacquizz Rodgers and undrafted rookie Shaun Wilson to get increased playing time, while Peyton Barber continues to handle the bulk of the workload in the backfield.
