Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chandler Catanzaro’s 59-yard field goal lifted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 26-23 overtime home win Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Tampa Bay had 14-point leads of 16-2 and 23-9. Cleveland outscored the Bucs 14-0 in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime.
Former Idaho State offensive lineman Evan Smith played as a backup for Tampa Bay. Head coach Dirk Koetter and the Buccaneers (3-3) are in third place in the NFC South and play Sunday at Cincinnati.
Josh Hill (2009-12)
New Orleans Saints
Former Idaho State tight end Josh Hill did not record a catch Sunday in the Saints’ 24-23 win at Baltimore.
Teammate Taysom Hill, a Pocatello native and Highland High School alumnus, rushed six times for 35 yards in the win. Taysom Hill also recorded two solo tackles and lost a fumble.
The Saints (5-1) lead the NFC South and play Sunday at Minnesota.
Marvin Lewis (1978-80)
Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati was ripped for 45 points and 551 yards of offense Sunday in a 45-10 loss at Kansas City.
It is the team’s most lopsided regular-season loss since 2009.
Head coach Marvin Lewis and the Bengals (4-3) are tied for second in the AFC North and host Tampa Bay on Sunday.
